Warning: EL and NB - Explicit language and nonsensical blabbering

Fuck BP. What arrogant pricks their leaders are. "I want my life back; this is not a big deal; it's tiny, only 1000 barrels a day; It's a drop in a big ocean; etc." They have been covering their asses from the beginning.

Fuck you BP.

They had a chance to do right by this fuck up but instead they went to lies and omission. I guess I'm naive. Sure the feds could be doing a better job and should be held accountable for not enforcing the regulations and not pushing BP harder and being in the pockets of big oil. That said it's BP's fault and fuck them.

So what can I do about it. Something that will make me feel better I'm sure.

First thing I did was call my investment dude and asked him to sell all of my BP stock. He wanted me to buy and it probably is a good time to buy since they are a cash cow and will recover from this but I couldn't do it. My conscience would not let me. I bought Apple instead but that's a different conversation.

In December I bought a diesel car. It gets 25 city and 35 highway but still has the power I like. It cost a little more but I did get a tax credit. So I will not be filling it up with anything from a BP, ARCO, AMOCO or any other BP branded stations. Here's a list, not complete though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BP#BP_retail_brands. Now to figure out who is buying from BP or BP refineries. If I do I'll update.

I am also going to start reducing the amount of plastic I use. No more plastic grocery bags, plastic water bottles, wash and reuse ziplocks. It's all going to be cloth, glass, metal and paper if i have to. yes I know this isn't "pure green" but it's a step in the right direction.

I am also going to continue to call and write the politicians that I vote for who take money from these sons of bitches and tell them to get off their asses and remove the ability of big oil to be responsible for their messes.
